Spontaneous Composition
what is it?

Spontaneous Composition, have you heard of that, you may not have as it’s a very rare type of composition or performance, It’s where the performer, (musician) plays something from the start to finish that he or she has never played before, it’s like a live on the fly composition.

Sometimes they can be one of the most beautiful compositions one can play, but the best thing about it is that you never know what’s going to come out, the what if factor comes in, what if he or she repeats that section of the song, what if he or she plays a completely new part to the song.

Anything can happen in a spontaneous composition, what the musician feels like is what the piece will sound like, that’s what’s so great, the musician can play what he or she feels, if he or she has to play something that has been decided on it might not be the best, if the musician doesn’t feel like playing that particular song on that particular day it can show in the performance.

Most professionals can make a song sound great no matter what they feel like but it’s so much better if what they are playing, they are also feeling. Please click on the link below for more info.
