Hello everyone nice to see you on such a lovely day, well I hope it's a lovely day for you too. Today I wanted to share with you one of the best tips I had when learning how to relax at the piano. Play pp very softly. Try it, play everything in your next practice session as soft as you can.

Try to keep the notes even and flowing, this will be a lot harder when playing softly but it will pay off, you'll find even after the first few practices like this that you are playing with less tension and are able to relax more.

Don't play anything f loud until at least the next day, when you do you'll find a big difference in your playing. Your hands should feel much more relaxed even when playing loud now. You can also do this technique over a whole week which is what I did the first time, you'll get even better results.

Remember to reply to this email with your comments and input, what would you like to see in the next issue. Now I'd like to invite you to take part in sharing your favourite piano book with us, what do you like about it or if it's one you don't like what don't you like about it. Tell us what YOUR favourite book is by clicking here.

OK so until next time I bid you goodbye and good playing.
